Grade 10/11/12 Students
as of September 2015
Are you interested in Law, Justice, RCMP and your community?
Would you like to be a volunteer member of the Killarney and District Justice Committee?
Members of the Killarney and District Justice Committee are responsible for referral cases involving offenders around the community. Cases are discussed and the Committee decides the terms and conditions offenders must complete in order for cases to be closed.
KDJC invite interested Grade 10/11/12 students (must be entering Grade 10/11/12 in September 2015) to join the committee as a Student Member.
As a Student Member, you will be required to attend monthly meetings at the Town Council Chambers and provide input from a student perspective. You have complete voting rights and will be considered an equal member. Part of your responsibility will also be taking the monthly minutes. You must commit to a one year term and follow a strict Code of Confidentiality.
Membership will start September 1, 2015
There may be a possibility of being awarded a scholarship for membership in your graduating year.
Students must fill out a short application form.
To pick up a form or more information, contact Randy Friesen (523-6336) or Nicole Fleming (523-4085) ASAP!
Forms are also available at the school office, and need to be returned to such.
Deadline to hand in applications is June 3, 2015.
