Killarney School and the Town of Killarney would like to welcome all participating schools to the Milk AA High School Hockey Championships held at the Shamrock Centre on March 11, 12 & 13, 2010.

WELCOME

On behalf of the Manitoba High Schools Athletic Association, and it’s member schools Welcome to the 2010 “AA” MILK Provincial High School Hockey Championships.

High school hockey has enjoyed tremendously growth over the years with over 80 schools now playing. It is a great caliber of play and brings tremendous enthusiasm to rinks across the province.

Congratulations to all the teams participating in the championship. Many hours of practices, games and tournaments have been committed to in order to attain your goal of making it to the provincials. This weekend will see a lot of hockey action, and we wish everyone success in their quest to be MHSAA Milk Provincial High School Hockey Champions.

We are very appreciative to Dairy Farmers of Manitoba, our title sponsor for this event, as they continue to be great friends of high school sports in Manitoba.

Also, a big thank you to the Killarney host organizing committee, and all of their volunteers, students, staff, parents, sponsors and others that are working hard to host this event. The volunteer base is the backbone of our organization and all of their efforts and commitment will allow for the hosting and staging of a first class championship.

In addition to the title sponsor, Dairy Farmers of Manitoba, we would like to extend our appreciation to other MHSAA Provincial partners including: MTS, Boston Pizza, Winnipeg Free Press, Manitoba’s Credit Unions, Subway, Red River Co-op, Manitoba Hydro, A & M Promotions, and Sport Manitoba. These are all great supporters and friends of high school sports.

We hope all student athletes, coaches, managers and fans enjoy this provincial championship and display positive sportsmanship. Have a terrific experience and best of luck!

MHSAA – “The other half of education”
